Join UD's Center for Global & Area Studies' African Studies program in commemorating 400 years since the arrival of enslaved Africans in the Americas with a special keynote address being delivered by Abdul Karim Bangura, Ph.D.
On Monday, November 18, from 5:30pm-6:30pm in 111 Memorial Hall, Dr. Bangura will discuss the significance of this historic event in his address "From Africa to America -- 400 Years: The Commemoration, the Caveat, and the Mandelaism Precept."
Among many roles an educator and scholar, Dr. Bangura serves as the Director of the Africa Institute and Researcher-in-Residence of Abrahamic Connection and Islamic Peace Studies at the Center for Global Peace in the School of International Service at American University.
